Global Medical Analyst

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of building a career path in business development. Initially by supporting client acquisition, business development and sales efforts. Increasingly exposed to building successful customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and closing business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Rapidly increasing responsibilities, including building a personal book-of-business, are highly encouraged and championed.

Role

Provide in-depth clinical understanding of current treatment landscape, including physicians’underlying decision rationale(s), unmet medical needs, future developments and relevant implications for commercialization within specific therapy areas in the fields of oncology, hematology and/or rare diseases.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a level of understanding of issues / current topics in a particular disease or diseasearea facing physicians and life science organizations
  • Opportunity to collaborate with recognized ThoughtLeader(s) in each disease area to identify challenges and opportunities particular and relevant to each area
  • Identify and understand current clinical practices and the commercial opportunities theypresent through disease intelligence work
    • Survey & clinical treatment panel development
    • Integration of client and expert needs and feedback
    • Target audience selection, recruitment and engagement
    • Primary and secondary research
    • Data analysis and modeling
    • Report development
  • Assist in presentation to relevant audiences (clients, physicians, ThoughtLeaders)
  • Collaborate with client management to understand and deliver on client needs
  • Support on-going business development needs with new potential clients

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD / DO, etc) strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and statistical abilities
  • Background in oncology, hematology, immunology or other relevant therapy areas
  • Great medical writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office and web applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with advanced analytics, modeling and statistics a strong plus
  • Ability and aptitude for occasional travel to medical conferences and other meetings
