Program Overview

The primary purpose of this program is to arm clinicians with tools to address the most important and most current challenges in movement disorders by providing a tightly focused update on recent advances and key clinical issues encountered in patients. The program will consist of 5 virtual live interactive lectures on movement disorders.

Goal Statement

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners to assess diagnostic considerations and new and emerging therapies for the treatment of movement disorders.

Target Audience

This program is intended for a multidisciplinary audience of neurologists, primary care physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and other members of the healthcare team involved in the management of patients with movement disorders.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Evaluate emerging treatment strategies in Parkinson’s Disease (PD)
• Summarize integration of novel formulations and pharmacotherapies into PD treatment of wearing-off episodes
• Detail current and emerging treatment strategies for chorea in patients with HD
• Compare and contrast approved agents for TD treatment
• Discuss management options for essential tremor and dystonias
